Specialized course for social workers and other professionals working with the elderly and their family caregivers. The course includes mediation processes and consensus building within families considering guardianship and other alternatives, continuous power of attorney, and supported decision making. The course also introduces mediation methods for families coping with a wide range of conflicts and possible disputes associated with old age (wills, inheritance, treatment, medical, and financial issues, improving intergenerational family relations, planning for old age, improving relations with caregivers and relevant institutions, division of the “burden” of care, and more).
